Need a place to catch the game? Well, luckily, in Long Island City there is a sports bar to match your every mood and sports preference. From a classic Irish pub to an outdoor beer garden with more TVs than a Best Buy, here are our favorite places to go watch a game.
The Garden at Studio Square — This place is so huge, we’re not sure how it doesn’t have its own zip code. We’re talking 19,000-square-foot outdoor space. It’s almost as good as being at a stadium. Well, it’s at least potentially cheaper. Games are projected onto the 160-foot outdoor screen and played on over 40 flat screen TVs. It can get pretty intense in here but that’s part of the excitement, right? 35-33 36th Street, (718) 383-1001
Bierocracy — Here is a great not-too-sporty place to watch the game. Because the food is great and the place is spacious, it is a good place to take a big group of people (especially if maybe not everyone is necessarily into the game). Don’t worry, there’s a big screen TV there so it’s not like you have to sit at the corner of the bar by yourself. During brunch, there are also endless mimosas for 2 hours for $15. So, literally, everybody is happy! 12-23 Jackson Ave., (718) 361-9333
John Brown Smokehouse — This barbecue joint shows every KC game. And it seems like every KC fan in the entire tri-state area travels here to cheer on their Chiefs and Royals. Also, yes. The barbecue is killer! 10-43 44th Dr., (347) 617-1120
